The Hero Goes Through a Rite of Passage or Initiation, an Event that Marks a Change From an Immature to a More Mature Understanding of the World

The rite of passage that I am going through is driving. Yes, that's right, driving. That would prove that I am actually groing into a young man. Eventually, I will master driving and go where I want to go when I have to go, that is, after I get my license. Still, the person that will guide me through that would have to be my dad or my mom. That would be the problem, you see, my dad is short tempered, and my mom gets nervous. I really have no other choice. Driving school is too expensive, or at least that's what my parents say.
